The Members of the South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department would like to Thank Hometown Heros and Mr. Subs for Donating food on Monday night during the Project Santa Deliveries.

We would also like to thank Red Robin Gourmet Burgers for donating food for last Nights Project Santa Deliveries.

Santa will be Seen tonight in the Kennedy School area from 6pm-9pm

Car Fire New Brunswick Avenue

Engine 5 took in a reported car fire in the area of New Brunswick Avenue and New Market Avenue yesterday morning. Upon arrival the vehicle was located on New Brunswick Avenue on the bridge just past the railroad tracks. The vehicle was involved in an mva and was found on its side fully involved. The driver escaped through the front windshield. One line was stretched off the engine and placed into service. One engine company from Greenbrook Fire Department was also on scene and assisted. The brothers from Greenbrook Fire Department were transporting their engine to one of the local repair shops for service, saw the smoke and stopped to assist. Thank you brothers!
